The length of the chassis is proportional to the tank volume. It should be noted that the volume of the tank is adjusted to the respective length of the chassis. The shorter the chassis, the smaller the total volume of the tank.

However, the volume can be increased at any time by enlarging the internal diameter of the tank. However, this can lead to a negative change in handling characteristics and increased stress on the frame.

Visually, saddle tanks with full frames appear heavier than self-supporting saddle tanks, but this is not actually the case.

The tank structure of semi-tankers with full frames can be constructed from a single piece: a cylinder made of comparatively thin material, as well as the support rings.

The entire load on this type of tanker vehicle rests on the chassis. The weight saved on the tank is added back at the bottom of the chassis, meaning that the weight differences between tankers with self-supporting tanks and tankers with full frames are barely measurable and do not affect the customer’s profitability.

We offer the most environmentally friendly solution for our chassis with high corrosion protection thanks to cathodic dip coating (CDT). Today, this process is standard practice among all major vehicle manufacturers.

This process produces a homogeneous black surface and, thanks to passivation in the pre-treatment stage, ensures significantly higher corrosion protection and thus a longer service life for the vehicle.

Less is more, and so our advantage lies in speed. Our suppliers concentrate solely on tank construction, while we take care of everything else. This enables us to ensure a smooth, fast and flexible process in the shortest possible time.

Our modular design with STELLA also ensures speed: rapid availability of vehicles, spare parts and optimised stock levels. The components and most of the assemblies can be used for all our vehicle types.

History

This type of saddle tank has always been developed in collaboration between several companies, tank builders and chassis manufacturers. The customer ordered a tank and the tank manufacturer built it onto any chassis. Very often, there was a lack of coordination between tank builders and chassis manufacturers. A mess that we, as retailers, have also been dealing with for years. In 2012, we decided to eliminate this chaos and build tanks and other equipment requested by customers on chassis manufactured by us.

We built the first chassis in 2012 and have since been able to perfect the construction process thanks to the experience we have gained. We were able to further optimise the interaction between the tank and chassis, as everything is in our own hands: tank, chassis, equipment and sales.

Our customers are mostly individualists who do not buy off the rack and want to stand out from the crowd. They pursue their own corporate philosophy and seek new and unique paths: future-oriented companies.
